Episode #12 – Out In The World

The addons Ouro was talking about are Wholly / Grail, Nomicakes, World Quest Tracker, Collectionshop, and Easy Obliterate. We use Curse and I think they’re all available there.

Ouro was also talking about a theory that N’Zoth is the real villain of this xpac. The thread he was referring to was on the Something Awful forums, but here’s the end of it:

Conclusion: N’zoth is buried underneath the Tomb of Sargeras and the Pillars of Creation will free him
If you transpose N’zoth in the first map onto the post-Sundering map and then move him a bit to the right to account for the force of the blast, it puts him right on the Tomb of Sargeras. We know that Old God prison facilities can be used for other stuff and have unknowing inhabitants move in above them, because that happened to literally every single Old God prison we found. N’zoth lives in a sunken city. The Tomb of Sargeras comes from a famously sunken island which had to be pulled up to the surface, and even then only partially.

Why is N’zoth trying to steal Pillars when doing so aids the Legion? Because he wants them for the same reason we do. He wants to bring them to the Tomb of Sargeras and use them to activate the key that Khadgar noticed, the key that will destroy the portal. Why does he want to do that? Because turning that key opens his jail and sets him free.

N’zoth got his tentacles into the Legion somehow (Archimonde had at least a droplet of corruption) and has engineered this entire invasion. He’s played us and the Legion magnificently against each other and put both sides into checkmate. If N’zoth gets the Pillars of Creation, N’zoth wins. If the Legion wins, Azeroth gets re-originated, and N’zoth has completely corrupted the Emerald Dream (and note that he didn’t do so until the Legion invaded, because if he acted beforehand we’d have been able to deal with that instead of having to desperately try to stave off total conquest), so N’zoth wins. If we win, we set N’zoth free, so N’zoth wins. Every outcome ends in “N’zoth wins”.

And why tell us? Because it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t. Even knowing what it’ll do, we don’t have a choice any more, do we? If that portal doesn’t get closed, the Legion will eventually wear us down through attrition. We’ll bring the Pillars to the Tomb of Sargeras, and stop the Legion, because the Legion has to be stopped or nothing else matters.

And then N’zoth wins.
